AgResearch Community Relations focuses on working with school students, the community and key stakeholders to increase the understanding and appreciation of science, and particularly the value of pastoral sector science, in keeping New Zealand prosperous. More than 50% of the products which leave our shores are pastoral sector exports. Our farmers are successful on the backs of great science and technology keeping them at the front of the pack.
We need greater awareness of the value of science and technology and we need to encourage school students to study science and consider science careers. So we undertake the following:
