If you enjoy science at school and would like to have a career in research that helps New Zealand's farmers, then check out AgResearch.

Just 37 of our staff are Maori, so we're keen to encourage more young Maori into science and science careers.

One of our Maori staff is Moana Puha (Ngati Porou). A Research Associate with our Agricultural Systems Section, Moana wants to encourage Maori students to take an interest in science and agriculture:

"I was the only Maori student that graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in 2005, majoring in agriculture.

"We're very few and far between and I want Maori students to know that both farmers and research institutes, like AgResearch, are crying out for good, reliable people to work for them."
